About Dr. Ashraf
Dr. Azra Ashraf, MD, MPH, is a dual board-certified plastic surgeon certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. With over a decade of experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, she is known for delivering elegant, natural-looking results that enhance each patient’s unique beauty while maintaining harmony and balance.
Dr. Ashraf completed her undergraduate education at Brown University, where she studied Public Policy with a focus on women’s health and healthcare equity. She went on to earn both her medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, reflecting her deep commitment to patient care, education, and advancing healthcare outcomes.
Her surgical training includes a general surgery residency at Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine, followed by specialized plastic and reconstructive surgery training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. She then completed advanced fellowship training in comprehensive breast reconstruction and microsurgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, where she refined her expertise in both reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery.
During her time at Harvard, Dr. Ashraf also served as an Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, helping educate and mentor future surgeons while continuing her work in advanced reconstructive care.
Throughout her career, Dr. Ashraf has been recognized for her meticulous surgical technique, artistic eye, and compassionate approach to patient care. She was named a Top Doctor in the Washington, DC area and is highly regarded for creating refined, natural outcomes tailored to each individual patient.
Now practicing in California, Dr. Ashraf founded Panache Plastic Surgery with the vision of offering sophisticated, personalized aesthetic care in a welcoming and supportive environment. She believes beauty is deeply individual and is passionate about helping patients feel confident, empowered, and comfortable in their own skin through thoughtful, customized treatment plans.
