About Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty surgery aims to correct the eyelids’ deformities, defects, and disfigurations caused by aging.  It repairs the sagging eyelids and removes excess fat, muscle, and skin.

In upper eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty, Dr. Ashraf creates an incision hidden in the eyelid crease to remove the fat or skin. After that, she uses a thin stitch to bring the skin together and creates an eyelid crease. The scar is imperceptible.

Lower eyelid surgery involves an incision on the inside of the eyelid (known as the transconjunctival approach) or skin incisions directly below the lash line.
